O'Driscoll frustrated over transfers

Rovers have sold midfielder Richie Wellens to Leicester for £1.2million, while Jason Price, Gordon Greer, Gareth Taylor, Darren Byfield and Tomi Ameobi have all been released. O'Driscoll told the Doncaster Free Press: "There's a lot going on behind the scenes, but not much we can report I'm afraid. We're checking what we can and cannot afford and juggling a few balls in the air. "Ideally it would be nice to bring in three or four players, but that doesn't seem likely at present. We're in competition for players with clubs who are more established at this level and have bigger names, and bigger fanbases. "There are players we would like to sign and, hopefully, we are making progress, but I don't want to alert others to our targets. Most clubs have financial constraints and we are no different. "Ultimately it depends on what cash we have available as to whether the players we bring in will cost money or be loan signings."
