O'Connor set for Rovers return

Doncaster defender James O'Connor could make a surprise return against Preston following a two-month injury lay-off. O'Connor has been sidelined since mid-February due to a broken bone in his foot and only recently returned to full training but manager Sean O'Driscoll will make a late decision on whether to include him in the squad. O'Driscoll will be without fellow defender Joseph Mills though. He was withdrawn in Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Cardiff and replaced by Matt Kilgallon after sustaining a hamstring injury. Leading goalscorer Billy Sharp (groin), midfielder Martin Woods (both groin), plus defenders James Chambers and Adam Lockwood (both knee) remain long-term absentees. Rovers, chasing their first win in seven league games - they have lost their last three - have slipped to 20th place in the table in recent weeks, seven points above the relegation zone.
