The 24-year-old is sidelined with a medial knee ligament injury but is aiming to be back to full fitness when Rovers resume their Championship campaign a week on Saturday.
"It has been niggling me since the summer to be honest," he told the Sheffield Star. "It's my kicking leg and I was having a bit of trouble when I was striking the ball.
"I've since been working on some cardiovascular work in the gym, and working out on the bike, so I'm not too worried about my actual fitness and once the knee is okay then I should be ready to go.
"Obviously it has been a disappointing start to the season for me and I want to get back playing as soon as possible.
"But it is one of those injuries you don't know how it is going until you start kicking a ball again."
