McDaid targets new Donny deal
McDaid signed a 12-month contract in the summer despite not playing for over a year following knee surgery.[LNB]However, the 23-year-old realises he cannot expect the same gesture again and says he is confident of returning to the first team in the new year and proving his worth.[LNB]"I know I've got to pull out all the stops in the second half of the season to win myself a new contract," he told The Star.[LNB]He added: "I certainly hope to be pushing for a first-team spot early in the new year. I've got to keep my head down and keep working hard."[LNB][LNB]
