McDaid closing in on comeback

The 23-year-old former Leeds trainee completed 30 minutes for a Doncaster XI in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Sheffield United without any problems following a knee injury that has kept him sidelined since April 2008.[LNB]A club spokesman said: "Sean did really well. He played a full 30 minutes and suffered no reaction whatsoever.[LNB]"He's was understandably buzzing after taking part in his first match for more than 18 months and everyone at the club is delighted for him."[LNB]McDaid, who dislocated his knee in a practice game in April 2008, was close to a return to action last season, but broke down again and required surgery to rectify a further complication, which has ruled him out since.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
