Defenders Matt Mills and James O'Connor and midfielder Richie Wellens have all been struggling with with knocks but have made the most of the fortnight without a game.
"I think the break has done the players good," O'Kelly told The Star. "It has given them the chance to refresh themselves.
"It has also given them the chance to get over their little niggles.
"Matt Mills, Richie Wellens and James O'Connor all trained on Tuesday and all did OK."
Rovers captain Brian Stock has also come through an operation to repair a a prolapsed disc in his back without any reaction.
