Injury troubles for Rovers

Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll will be forced to fill his substitutes' bench with youth team players for the Carling Cup clash with Accrington due to a spate of injuries. Midfielder James Coppinger is on crutches and waiting to learn the severity of his leg injury following a heavy tackle at Preston, while strikers Billy Sharp and James Hayter and midfielder Martin Woods all strained their groins in the opening-day win and are unavailable. Skipper Brian Stock is away on international duty with Wales and fellow midfielder Simon Gillett is suspended after receiving two yellow cards on Saturday. John Oster and James Chambers both remain long-term absentees due to knee injuries, so summer signing Josh Payne, Mustapha Dumbuya, Robbie Clarke and Waide Fairhurst will all come into contention for the first-round tie, with O'Driscoll forced to name several youth-team players as substitutes.
