Doncaster's injury troubles have deepened with midfielder Simon Gillett ruled out of the derby clash with Sheffield United after sustaining a knee injury in midweek. Gillett, feared to have suffered medial ligament damage, joins James O'Connor (hamstring), Wayne Thomas (knee) and James Chambers (knee) on the sidelines, while midfielder Martin Woods (groin) and central defender Adam Lockwood (big toe) could face late fitness tests. Another defender, George Friend, is a long-term absentee after suffering a similar injury to Gillett the previous week and centre-half Shelton Martis has suffered a recurrence of his groin injury. Defender Joseph Mills, on loan from Southampton, is expected to make his second start for Rovers and striker Billy Sharp will face his former club for the first time competitively since first arriving at the Keepmoat on loan last season.
