Ex Rover and Blade Brian Deane praises Billy Sharp
Brian Deane has revealed why Billy Sharp, the Doncaster Rovers striker, will be "desperate" to score against Sheffield United Sharp is expected to face his former club for the first time since leaving Bramall Lane earlier this year when the two teams clash in tomorrow evening's televised fixture at the Keepmoat Stadium.Deane, who represented both United and Rovers during his playing career,said: "When you come up against one of your old sides there is always a lot of extra motivation to do well. Basically it's because you want the supporters to see that you are still a threat and, to be totally honest, that the people who have been brought in to replace you since aren't as good as you are."Every single footballer has that streak in them and Billy will be no different. There's nothing wrong with that. You need a streak like that to succeed as a footballer.
