Elliott extends stay with Mariners

Elliott's current deal was due to expire after Saturday's clash with Exeter, but his emergency loan has now been extended until March 9.[LNB]The winger has scored one goal in four appearances for the Mariners, and manager Mike Newell is pleased to have extended his stay.[LNB]Newell told the club's official website: "Stuart and the other loan players have given us something different.[LNB]"I don't think we've seen the best from him yet.[LNB]"He will get fitter with first-team games, and he has always got a goal in him."[LNB][LNB]
