Keegan set for Rovers return
Paul Keegan could be back in the reckoning for Doncaster when they host Wigan.
Keegan has been out with a hamstring injury since the start of November but the midfielder has resumed training and this week featured for the reserve team. Rovers boss Paul Dickov has given Keegan a 50-50 chance of being involved against the FA Cup holders.
Paul Quinn is still struggling with the knee injury that ruled him out at Blackburn but fellow defenders Jamie McCombe and Rob Jones are making progress in their recoveries.
McCombe has yet to play this campaign due to the back injury that troubled him last season, which turned out to be a hairline fracture. Like Keegan, he played for 56 minutes in the reserves on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jones has been given the all-clear by a specialist to resume training after almost three months out with a neck problem.
New signing Gabriel Tamas is awaiting international clearance and if that comes through, he could play a part.
New loan signing Nicky Maynard is expected to go straight into the Wigan squad.
Boss Uwe Rosler, who was in charge of Brentford for last season's unforgettable final-day drama against Rovers, bolstered his attacking options by acquiring Cardiff forward Maynard for the rest of the season after Grant Holt left on a similar deal to Aston Villa.
Nick Powell came off the bench to fire Wigan past MK Dons in an FA Cup replay and the Manchester United loanee will be expected to go straight back into the team.
Defenders Tyias Browning, waiting for his full debut, and Rob Kiernan were ineligible in midweek but are available again for a squad which is still missing the likes of goalkeeper Scott Carson (thigh), defender Gary Caldwell (hip) and Scotland international winger Shaun Maloney (shoulder).
