Forrester makes Rovers return

Doncaster can call on Harry Forrester for the visit of Oldham.

The forward has missed Rovers' last three matches through suspension following his red card in the home defeat to Port Vale on August 16.

Captain Rob Jones could also come back into contention. Jones was a cause for concern last week when, having only recently returned from a neck injury that kept him out for nine months, the central defender was forced off against Preston with another neck complaint. But scans have subsequently shown no serious damage.

Richie Wellens could be in line for his first start of the season after agreeing a new two-year contract. The midfielder made his first appearance of the campaign as a 79th-minute substitute during the Capital One Cup win at Watford in midweek.

Winless Oldham are unlikely to make too many changes after an impressive performance in the loss to Preston.

Latics made just one change last time out - recalling defender Brian Wilson (groin) in place of Connor Brown - and dominated for long periods at Deepdale.

Forward Amari Morgan-Smith could see more game time after featuring as a substitute in the previous two contests following his recovery from a knee problem.

Striker Rhys Turner is still working his way back to full fitness from a hip injury.
