Dickov considers defensive shuffle

Doncaster boss Paul Dickov is considering making defensive changes for the visit of Colchester.

Rovers have conceded three goals in each of their last two matches so Cedric Evina and the fit-again Luke McCullough may come into the Scot's thinking on Saturday.

Curtis Main will be hoping his superb goal in the midweek defeat to Bristol City could earn him a starting spot, while fellow strikers Uche Ikpeazu and Theo Robinson and midfielder Abdul Razak are also options for Dickov.

This weekend looks like coming too soon for James Coppinger (ankle) but the midfielder may be back in contention for the trip to Preston on Tuesday.

Colchester's new signing Karleigh Osborne is expected to be included in Tony Humes' squad after joining on loan from Bristol City until the end of the season.

But teenage midfielder Tom Lapslie is unlikely to play any part after sustaining an ankle injury in last week's home win against Bristol City.

Fellow midfielders Sammie Szmodics (foot) and David Fox (leg) are still nursing injuries and will not feature, but George Moncur is over tonsillitis and pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after stepping off the bench last week.

Forward Sanchez Watt is hoping to make a full recovery from illness in time to return to contention and striker Rhys Healey (appendix) is also hoping to feature after returning to the bench last week.
