Fitness tests galore at Donny

Several Doncaster players will have late fitness tests ahead of the visit of non-league neighbours Bradford Park Avenue in the FA Cup.

Defenders Paul Quinn and Shelton Martis (calf) and midfielders Kyle Bennett and David Cotterill (calf) are all being monitored ahead of the first-round tie.

"A few players are carrying knocks but they may be okay," Rovers boss Dean Saunders told the club's official website.

"Kyle Bennett picked up a knock last week and is struggling. David Cotterill is struggling. Paul Quinn picked up a knock last week but might be ready, but might not. Shelton Martis might be ready, but might not. There are a few of them getting late fitness tests."

Saunders insists he will not be underestimating the opposition, adding: "We can make it an easy afternoon or a difficult afternoon, depending on our mentality.

"I've been in football too long to know that if you don't have the right attitude in games like this then it can go wrong."

Bradford PA manager John Deacey has no fresh injury concerns.

Long-term absentee Adam Clayton will miss out once again but the squad is otherwise injury-free.

Clayton has a nasty knee injury and is expected to be sidelined until the beginning of next year.

The Avenue, who currently sit sixth in the Blue Square Bet North table, won a lucrative away tie at the Keepmoat when they beat Ossett Albion 4-1 in the previous round. They managed to avoid being on the end of a cup upset after Albion took the lead in the 32nd minute.
