Points shared after thrilling derby
Doubles from James Coppinger and Nick Proschwitz ensured the spoils were shared from a tense South Yorkshire derby between Doncaster and Barnsley in the Sky Bet Championship.
Rovers looked have to secured a vital win after coming from behind with two strikes from wide man Coppinger but Proschwitz struck in the final minute to make it 2-2 - a fair outcome following a breathless, high-stakes derby.
Both sides refused to give the other an inch during the majority of a well-fought contest where intensity levels rarely dropped below frenetic, particularly during the first half.
A pair of goalkeeping errors led to Coppinger's first goal and Proschwitz's opener for Barnsley, meaning there was a 1-1 scoreline at the break.
On-loan Manchester United keeper Sam Johnstone hesitated when coming for a cross, allowing Proschwitz to nod over him and slam into an empty net to put Barnsley in front on 27 minutes.
In first-half stoppage time, Luke Steele dropped a high ball after colliding with his own man, leaving Coppinger with a simple tap in.
Ten minutes into the second half, Coppinger struck again with another goal laced with fortune.
Chris Brown flicked on a low Mark Duffy cross and Coppinger hooked a shot just inside the post via a deflection.
Rovers retreated deeper and deeper under strong Barnsley pressure as the second half wore on, and the visitors got their reward one minute from time.
O'Grady powered to the byline and cut back for Proschwitz to slam home from close range.
The game was not without controversy and both sides had good reason to be unhappy with referee Andy D'Urso.
He did not appear to see Rovers' defender James Husband beinghacked down by Martin Cranie in the area and, moments later, he ruled out a Cranie header that would have put Barnsley 2-0 up.
There were several decent chances for both sides in the second half.
Duffy twice looked to catch Steele off guard in quick succession, drilling a free-kick from the corner of the box and powering a shot towards the near post, both of which were well dealt with.
If Steele had atoned for his first-half mistake, his opposite number Johnstone more than made up for his with a a superb double to deny Proschwitz.
The towering forward hit a speculative effort from the edge of the box that Johnstone stretched to tip away from the top corner.
Moments later, he hooked away a goal-bound header from Proschwitz.
Then, just before Proschwitz found the leveller, Brown could have secured the win for Doncaster when he met an in-swinging free kick from Duffy, but he could only flick it over the bar.
