No home comforts for Rovers

Doncaster's dismal home form continued as Oldham chalked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 success.

It was a disappointing afternoon for Rovers boss Paul Dickov against his former club, but victory was no more than the Latics deserved.

They started by far the brighter of the two sides and were quick and purposeful in attack in contrast to Doncaster's ponderous approach play.

Johnson-Clarke Harris gave them a flying start when he hammered home a free-kick in the fourth minute after Rovers had failed miserably to clear their lines.

Reece Wabara and Kyle Bennett fired just wide when Doncaster tried to hit back, but the home attacks were unconvincing and Dickov's side failed to land a single shot on target in the second half.

Former Doncaster loanee Jonathan Forte wrapped up the points for Oldham when he sent Jed Steer the wrong way from the penalty spot in the 59th minute after Luke McCullough had been harshly-judged to have fouled Danny Philliskirk.

It was Doncaster's seventh game without a home win, while they have chalked up four successive victories on the road this season.
