Defender lands top Rovers award

The 22-year-old former Manchester City defender was rewarded for a fine season at the Keepmoat Stadium, turning out 45 times as Rovers successfully battled to retain their Championship status.[LNB]Captain Brian Stock was named as the player's player of the year, promising defender Charles Fisher won the young player award and Martin Woods' strike at Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day was recognised as goal of the season.[LNB][LNB]
