Chambers eyeing Rovers return

Injured Doncaster defender James Chambers is hoping to make a return to first team action in the second half of the campaign. The right-back has yet to feature in a Rovers shirt so far this season after undergoing a knee operation in the summer. But after suffering a hiccup in the autumn, the 30-year-old is looking forward to completing his recuperation and getting involved in the latter half of the season. Chambers told The Star: "My leg feels stronger than ever and there is no fluid on my kneecap which there was previously. It feels really good. The only thing I've not been able to do at this moment in time is test it with some running. "Like everyone else I've been waiting for the snow and ice to go so that I can get cracking. I could have been doing that for the last fortnight, so it has been frustrating. "One a scale of one to a hundred, it is a hundred. But it is one of those things which happen in life. I see it is as a test of character and I'm not too downbeat about it."
