Brooker making Donny progress

The 28-year-old, who has made only one appearance for Doncaster after joining initially on loan from Bristol City this time last year, will this week build up towards running again after two operations.[LNB]Brooker stepped off the bench to fire Doncaster's equaliser in his first appearance at Watford in November 2008, but tore his calf muscle in training the following Monday and has not played since.[LNB]The former Port Vale forward recovered from his calf injury, but an on-going Achilles problem flared up and he had surgery on his ankle in a bid to resolve the problem.[LNB]Brooker, who signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Rovers in January, was sidelined for a further three months only for the pain to return in his Achilles when he started running again and he was forced to have further surgery 12 weeks ago.[LNB][LNB]
