Billy feeling sharp again

Billy Sharp has declared himself fit and ready to make his first-team return for Doncaster just four weeks after tearing his hamstring. The striker, who sustained the injury after scoring in the win over former club Sheffield United in October, made a shock appearance on the bench last weekend, less than a month after being told he would be sidelined for at least six weeks. Sharp, who came through 60 minutes in a midweek practice game against Chesterfield unscathed, told the club's official website: "I feel OK. It's just nice to get a run-out and test the hamstring. "It's felt OK ever since I did it to be fair. I worked really hard to get back. I was determined to get back before the six weeks and now I've got to get back into the team." The 24-year-old added: "I'm glad we've been getting some good results and I'm happy to come back into a team that's doing well and not struggling. "I'm fit now so if the gaffer needs me I'm ready. He has to pick me first but when he says he wants me, I'm ready."
