Villa on verge of leaving Derby

Derby County striker Emanuel Villa is poised to move back to Central America and join Mexican club Cruz Azul, BBC Sport understands. The clubs have already agreed a deal and the Argentine forward, 27, is expected to sign a contract once he has passed a medical and agreed terms. Villa joined from another Mexican club, UAG Tecos, for £2m in January 2008. But he has failed to hold down a regular place at Pride Park and only started 25 league games in 18 months. .... read more
