Mile Sterjovski has ended his disappointing 18-month spell with Derby County and joined Australian A-League side Perth Glory.
The 30-year-old striker started only 16 games during his spell at Pride Park and spent most of his time on the substitute's bench after Nigel Clough was appointed Rams boss midway through last season.
Clough told the club's official website: "It's an important year for Mile if he wishes to be involved in Australia's World Cup squad and for that reason alone he needs to be playing regular first-team football.
"It isn't something I could guarantee here, so it's in the best interests of both parties for him to return to Australia.
"Mile is an excellent pro and I have no doubt he will be a big star in the A-League. He leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Derby County."
