Small fracture sidelines Bywater

Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up a wrist injury in training.

The former West Ham United shot-stopper sustained the problem last Wednesday when falling awkwardly and a visit to a specialist has identified a small fracture.

Rams boss Nigel Clough said of the 29-year-old: "Obviously Stephen's injury is a concern to us. However, it's an injury we aren't prepared to put a time-frame on just yet.

"Stephen's the sort of character who'll want to play regardless and it might be important in this instance that we look after him and ensure he doesn't make the injury worse."
