Savage sounds battle cry

Derby County skipper Robbie Savage has told his team-mates that they have enough quality to beat Birmingham City in Saturday's FA Cup clash at Pride Park.

The Championship side face the Premier League outfit in a fifth round tie and, after big home wins over rivals Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United recently, he believes they can claim another success.

Savage, a former Birmingham player, wants his colleagues to believe they can not just win this weekend's clash, but the competition outright.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "This is going to be a fantastic occasion and something we're all looking forward to.

"Of course we're underdogs, we know that. They're a Premier League side who have done superbly this season.

"However, we're one of 16 teams still left in the competition and we have to go into the tie not just believing that we can win the game but with the belief that we can go all the way."
