Derby County have won the race to sign defender Shaun Barker from Blackpool.
The Rams beat off competition from several other clubs to sign the highly-rated 26-year-old, who has penned a three-year contract at Pride Park.
Barker, who has missed just four league matches in three years with the Tangerines, joins Lee Croft, Dean Moxey, Jake Buxton and Ben Pringle as Derby's fifth signing of the summer.
Manager Nigel Clough told Derby's official website: "Shaun's been one of our top targets all summer and we're delighted to have concluded the deal to bring him to Pride Park.
"At 26-years-old, he's in his prime and has all the attributes we're looking for in a centre-half.
"His attitude and character are first-class and we have no doubt that he'll be a valuable addition to our squad for the season ahead.
"Shaun knows there's tough competition for places here but he's shown a great desire to come and play for this football club and be part of what we're trying to achieve."
