Rams still want Brayford deal

Clough has been actively pursuing Shaun Barker of Blackpool recently, but has revealed he is still keen to secure the services of Brayford, a 21-year-old right-back. "We have been concentrating in other areas in terms of centre-half," Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph. "Shaun Barker has taken up a lot of energy and time. So once we have got that one sorted, we will see what we can do with John." Clough previously worked with Brayford at Burton Albion where the player progressed through the youth system to the first team, before joining Crewe for an initial £80,000 last year.
