Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater has been handed a one-match ban by the Football Association after admitting a charge of improper conduct.
Bywater was charged following an altercation with Ipswich Town defender Alex Bruce in a Championship match earlier in the month.
Both players were dismissed and subsequently had their red cards overturned, but charges followed after the pair squared up again with Bywater racing across the pitch to remonstrate with the Bruce.
"At a disciplinary commission hearing, Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater was suspended for one match and fined £2,000 while Ipswich Town's Alex Bruce was fined £1,500," confirmed an FA statement.
"Bywater admitted improper conduct relating to an incident involving the two players after he had been sent off during the match at Portman Road on April 14. His suspension comes into force with immediate effect.
"Bruce denied improper conduct relating to the same incident but the commission found it to be proved."
