Derby County boss Paul Jewell is willing to let former Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City midfielder Robbie Savage leave Pride Park on loan.
The 33-year-old, who was signed by Jewell for £1.5million in January, has been excluded from the Rams' first-team squad since last month's home defeat to Southampton.
"Robbie's agent rang me and asked would we consider loaning him, and I said yes," Jewell told the Evening Telegraph.
"He's not in the team. He wants to play football and he's one of the players that will be available for loan.
"I think the first thing people will think about is Robbie's wages, but obviously we're quite happy to help things happen if that's what Robbie wants and it benefits both sides.
"If it doesn't, we're quite happy to keep him here."
