Derby County have completed the signing of experienced winger Eddie Lewis for an undisclosed fee from League One side Leeds United.
The 33-year-old wideman has put pen to paper on a two-year contract at Pride Park where he will once again team up with Rams boss Billy Davies.
The USA international was part of Davies' Preston North End side who were beaten in the Championship play-off final in 2005.
Lewis has won 72 caps for the United States and joined Leeds from Preston on a free transfer two years ago.
The former San Jose player previously played in the Championship for Fulham following a £1.3million move in 2000.
Speaking after Saturday's 4-0 thrashing at Tottenham, Davies hinted he was planning more moves in the transfer market before the window closes on August 31.
"In two out of our three games this season I've been pleased, but I wasn't today," he revealed.
"Experience is the only positive from not competing in the opening 20 minutes.
"Having said that, we were makers of our own downfall.
"We've got to bring in more firepower and quality so strikers are our number one target."
