    Rams clear-out set to continue

    18 Jun 2008 - 07:00:40

Derby County boss Paul Jewell hopes to sell four players as he continues to revamp a squad that was relegated from the Premier League last month.

Craig Fagan is on the verge of returning to Hull City in a £750,000 deal, while there has also been interest shown in Darren Moore, Stephen Pearson and David Jones.

Bradford City, Leicester City and Swansea City have all been linked with veteran defender Moore with Jewell saying: "We'll just have to wait and see.

"I think Leicester is complicated by the fact that they're interviewing for a manager and, obviously, if they get one sooner rather than later, then Darren may decide to go there.

"Nothing's cut and dried on that, although I certainly know Bradford are interested in him.

"I think David Jones has got one or two irons in the fire. He's got to decide where he wants to play his football and what package he wants to play under.

"We agreed a fee with Wolves but it's the player's prerogative where he wants to play his football and we completely respect that.

"With Stephen Pearson, we've got some interest but it's more tenuous - people are still thinking on it.

"Premier League clubs are probably slower doing their business this summer than Championship clubs are. So there's nothing significant on Stephen yet."
