Derby County manager Billy Davies has strengthened his squad with the capture of Wales international goalkeeper Lewis Price from Ipswich Town.
The 23-year-old joins the Rams on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee and will battle with Stephen Bywater for a starting spot at Pride Park.
Davies told his club's official website: "Lewis is a young player with very good potential and I have signed him in the first instance to provide back-up and competition for our established goalkeepers."
Price had made 75 appearances for the Tractor Boys, as well as winning three caps for Wales, having made his debut against Cyprus in November 2005.
Town boss Jim Magilton allowed Price to move on after signing former Cardiff City gloveman Neil Alexander earlier this summer.
"With Neil coming in, there was always a likelihood that Lewis might move on and we have tried to help the lad," Magilton told the club's official website.
"He's a great kid and him and Shane Supple have been the hardest working players on the training ground, so I'm pleased he has got fixed up with a new club and a new challenge."
