Peschisolido out for six weeks

Derby County boss Billy Davies is considering a move into the loan market after learning that striker Paul Peschisolido will be out of action for six weeks.

The veteran forward picked up a thigh injury during the warm-up for Saturday's 3-0 win against Southend United, leaving Steve Howard and Arturo Lupoli as the Rams' only available frontmen.

"It's something we've got to think about as we're left short, especially with Giles Barnes suspended," Davies told the Rams' official website.

"Pesch has got a nasty thigh strain that he picked up making a side-footed finish before the game, and is looking at six weeks out."
