On-loan Barnsley defender Lewin Nyatanga has vowed to return to Derby County and play his way back into the first-team picture.
The Wales international has been loaned out to both Barnsley and Sunderland since Billy Davies was appointed the new manager of the Rams in the summer.
The 18-year-old has made seven appearances for the Tykes since arriving at Oakwell last month but is keen to return to Derby and prove his worth to Davies.
"The season has not really worked out the way I'd expected," he said.
"I've found myself playing for three clubs in the Championship, but the key is that I'm playing matches.
"I found it hard to get back in at Derby. But I'd love to return there, get in the team, and play in the Premiership with them.
"That's my team, Derby is my hometown club, but we'll have to wait and see.
"The manager there has told me I'm in his long-term plans, so we'll just have to wait to see what happens. Hopefully we'll be in the Premiership next season."
