Veteran USA international Eddie Lewis is keen to stay at Derby County and help them clinch an immediate return to the Premier League next season.
The 33-year-old still has 12 months left on his Pride Park contract and is in no rush to leave Paul Jewell's side after making 22 first-team appearances for the Rams this term.
He told the Derby Evening Telegraph: "I'd like to think my experience can come in useful. I'm very familiar with the division and what it takes (to win promotion).
"It's a big, long league and we'll have quite a few players who've gone through the experience and, with whatever players are added, we'll give ourselves every chance.
"I know the club will put a lot into coming straight back up. I think we'll have a very good chance.
"I've still got one more season after this, and we'll see how it goes. I'd certainly like to stay in England longer. I know I'm not getting any younger but I'm in no rush to go home."
