Derby County have confirmed that goalkeeper Roy Carroll has left the club by mutual consent. The former Manchester United and West Ham United keeper had two years remaining on his contract after arriving in Pride Park in January 2008, but made just 39 appearances with the Rams. The 31-year-old is thought to be close to a move to Danish Premier League outfit Odense. The Northern Ireland international made 49 appearances for Manchester United during a four-year spell as an understudy at Old Traffod, after spells at Hull and Wigan.
