Jewell: We need results

New Derby County boss Paul Jewell believes that his players showed the attitude needed to try and escape relegation in the heartbreaking 1-0 weekend defeat at Sunderland.
Anthony Stokes' last-gasp strike robbed the Rams of a point at the Stadium of Light, with Jewell full of praise for his side's efforts, despite being aware that they need positive results as quickly as possible.
He told the Evening Telegraph: "It's a real kick in the teeth when it happens like that, but we can't feel sorry for ourselves.
"I've seen a bit of a reaction from one or two of the players. Some of them are angry, which is what we want. We don't want to accept defeat.
"We've got 23 games left and we're going to need good form. We've got to get a win from somewhere.
"We're not adrift yet, but we've got to get some good results pretty soon.
"This group of players I've taken over are used to getting beaten, so I've got to try to change that. A point and clean sheet would have been a great to start.
"I was encouraged by the endeavour. I don't know the players that well, but everything I asked of them, they did."
