Jewell targets Rams battle

Derby County's new manager Paul Jewell is hoping to infuse his new charges with renewed confidence for the challenge of trying to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Rams currently prop up the top-flight standings, having won just once in their first 14 games of the campaign, with Jewell aware that he faces a major fight to keep County up.
He told the club's official website: "Football is a psychological battle and what we have got to do is eradicate fear. We are all human beings and it can be difficult if you are losing every week.
"The players haven't done themselves justice, but they are good players and I will be trying to get them to believe that.
"I will be trying to get them out there working to the best of their ability, on the training ground as well as on the field.
"As a manager, if people give you everything they have got then you can never ask more than that.
"That's what I'm saying to the players - give me what you've got, don't come off that pitch with something left in the tank. The players have got to be up for the battle.
"When you are bottom of the league, confidence is at an all-time low, but hopefully we can help turn that around."
