Jewell concern at Rams form

Paul Jewell admitted Derby County's recent away form has been "rubbish" following Tuesday's 3-0 defeat at Championship leaders Wolves.

The Rams were always on the back foot at Molineux after conceding a controversial first-minute penalty when defender Darren Powell was adjudged to have handled the ball.

Jewell's side are now without a win in their last five league games.

"For the last three away matches we have been rubbish, there is no doubt about that," admitted Jewell.

Referring to the early penalty, he added: "I think it is a terrible decision to be perfectly honest. Even their players were saying it wasn't a penalty. It is just the kind of start you don't need.

"If it has hit his hand, then there is no intent. But we haven't had too many good refereeing decisions this season.

"All we can do is just keep going and hope it turns around for us."
