Holloway rues late lapse

Plymouth Argyle manager Ian Holloway was left to bemoan one lapse in concentration as his side lost 1-0 to Birmingham City on Saturday despite dominating the Home Park clash.
Blues defender Radhi Jaidi was left unmarked at a corner with 16 minutes left and the former Bolton defender made the most of his opportunity as he sent a powerful header home.
A rueful Holloway admitted: "If you give somebody like Jaidi a free header from a corner, what can you do?
"I knew that before the game. That was why I picked (Nick) Chadwick. I needed a bigger, stronger side. When I took him off, maybe I should have told Sylvan (Ebanks-Blake) to mark his man. That was Jaidi.
"But overall I'm delighted with them. What can I say? This time last season we'd have been trying to shut up shop and barricade things up.
"Now we're disappointed because we gave Birmingham City one hell of a game. But it's no good saying it was one-way traffic. You've got to finish it off.
"They're on a roll. They've just won again, they've got a good spirit and they kept their shape and discipline well."
Meanwhile, Paul Connolly has agreed a 12-month contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2007-08 season.
