Derby County forward Craig Fagan is chomping at the bit to get back into action, having finally completed a four-match suspension.
The 24-year-old has not featured for the Rams since their 6-0 thrashing at Liverpool at the start of September, having been punished for a clash with Alvaro Arbeloa during the Anfield rout.
However, Fagan is now back in contention and has returned to the fold with a reserve team outing.
He told the Evening Telegraph: "It has been a nightmare. I'm not the best watcher, to be honest, so it will be good to get back on the pitch.
"It's been a long few weeks, but I have been working hard and I would like to thank the staff for putting on extra training sessions for me. It has been like a pre-season again.
"It's not like I've been out with an injury and unable to train. The way the gaffer is, he doesn't let anybody walk around in training. We train as we play, everyone works hard.
"I'm ready if called on and hopefully I can do well in training during this break and try to force my way back into the team."
Teenage Rams forward Giles Barnes also featured on Monday evening against Fulham, as he continued his comeback from a broken foot.
