Eagles set to swoop for big Claude
The Jamaica international, who still had two years remaining on his contract with Derby, was given permission to talk to the club after Eagles boss Neil Warnock expressed an interest. Waiting on a work permit, Davis is expected to be unveiled as a Palace player within the next three to four weeks. Warnock admitted a long-term desire to bring Davis to the club having been an admirer of his style of football for some time. He told the Advertiser: "We've agreed a deal for Davis to come here. "What I like about Claude is that he knows how to look after himself - he is physically very strong."
