Dickov eyes loan extension

On-loan Derby County striker Paul Dickov has revealed his intention to stay at Pride Park until the end of the season, although he acknowledged that an extension to his loan was out of his hands.

The 37-year-old has impressed Rams boss Nigel Clough since he was brought in from Leicester in August, scoring twice in his last eight games after injuries gave the former Manchester City star a run in the first team.

"It's no secret that I've loved it since I've been here, so hopefully we can sit down and get something sorted out," admitted Dickov.

"We're on a mini-run with four games unbeaten. The previous games we had lost I felt we could have got something from them.

"We're playing well with two home games coming up, so we're looking forward to it."
