Derby keen to sign striker Smith

Derby County have made an offer to troubled Portsmouth to bring back ex-Rams striker Tommy Smith on loan to Pride Park for the rest of the season.But Derby may not be helped by the fact that Smith was recalled by the FA Cup semi-finalists on Saturday and scored in their 3-2 win against Hull City.
