Derby County have rewarded manager Billy Davies for returning the club to the Premier League with a new extended contract running until the summer of 2010.
Davies and his assistant, David Kelly, have both put pen to paper on new deals, with the Rams hoping to establish themselves back in the top-flight.
Chairman Peter Gadsby told the club's official website: "We had a three-year contract with Billy and there were two years to go, but it didn't have an automatic re-negotiation clause in the Premier League.
"We felt we wanted to reward Billy and we have done that.
"He wanted to make sure his backroom staff were all on board before he signed, and they're all in. Now he has signed and given us another year."
Davies himself added: "I think it was very important that we got it sorted out and I'm delighted that both David and myself have signed.
"The staff here are all very committed, they have moved house and schools in some cases, so the commitment is there from everyone.
"Now it is time to keep this club moving forward in the right direction.
"Everyone's contribution has been brilliant so far and we now have systems in place that we feel in the long run will benefit this club greatly."
