Derby County manager Billy Davies has warned potential bidders away from the Rams' rising star Giles Barnes.
The 18-year-old forward has been linked with West Ham United this summer, having scored eight goals last season as County secured a return to the Premier League via the play-offs.
However, a defiant Davies told the Daily Mirror: "I've had phone calls and there's certainly been interest in Giles Barnes.
"I've said before that we don't want to sell. We want to add to the squad and we want to keep Giles continuing his development at Derby County.
"He's got to prove he can make an impact in the Premier League and then his time will come if he continues to progress."
