Derby County have bolstered their midfield options ahead of the promotion run in by signing Darren Currie on loan from Ipswich Town.
The 32-year-old former West Ham trainee has agreed a switch to Pride Park until the end of the season after struggling to hold down a first-team place at Ipswich.
Currie was brought to Portman Road by former Town boss Joe Royle in 2004, but was allowed to move to Coventry City on a similar loan basis earlier this season.
The versatile midfielder tried to resurrect his career in the US following a trial with LA Galaxy earlier in the season, but failed to win a permanent contract with the club David Beckham will join in the summer.
Currie is expected to go straight into the Rams squad to face Cardiff City at Pride Park at the weekend.
