Crosby hails victorious Rams
05 Feb 2009 - 12:17:10
Derby County's first-team coach Gary Crosby hailed his side's display in their 3-2 FA Cup fourth round replay win at local rivals Nottingham Forest.
The Rams were 2-0 down after 14 minutes at the City Ground, but hit back to set up a meeting with Manchester United in round five thanks to goals from Rob Hulse, Paul Green and Kris Commons.
Crosby told the Evening Telegraph: "Going two down was not the best of starts, but the next goal was always going to be important. From that point onwards I thought we were the better side.
"Forest had some chances in the second half, but we had the better chances.
"Over the two games, I thought we were the better side and deserved to go through.
"Now we face Manchester United again and you can never get bored of facing United.
"The meeting in the Carling Cup was totally different because it was over two legs. United will look at this game in a different way and it will be very, very difficult, but we'll give it a go."
