Derby County manager Paul Jewell has made Nottingham Forest winger Kris Commons his sixth signing of the summer.
The 24-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at Pride Park and joins Ruben Zadkovich, Paul Connolly, Nathan Ellington, Jordan Stewart and Paul Green in signing for the Rams since the end of the season less than four weeks ago.
Jewell told County's official website: "This is a gem of a signing for us. It's a terrific boost that Kris has chosen to join Derby County over the numerous other clubs who were also keen to secure his signature.
"He's a player who can unlock doors. He has that X Factor, he's a genuine match-winner.
"When I met him I was also impressed with his hunger and desire to improve and play at the highest level. I like his ambition and his drive.
"Kris is our sixth signing of the close season and I'm really pleased with the momentum we're building up on the transfer front now.
"There's lots more happening behind the behind the scenes and I hope it isn't too long before we're able to announce another signing."
Commons scored 38 goals in 160 appearances for Forest having started his career at Stoke City.
