Derby County winger Kris Commons could return from injury in time to face Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Commons has been on the sidelines with a knee injury since mid-September and missed Scotland's World Cup qualifying double-header in recent days.

But Rams boss Paul Jewell has confirmed the winger is back in full training and in contention for the weekend's Championship clash.

"Kris has trained this week and hopefully he will not have any reaction to his injury," he told the club's official website.

"But he is a little bit behind the rest because in the last five weeks we have kicked on, energy-wise and confidence-wise.

"If he has no reaction this week he will be available at the weekend.

"As long as he trains from now until Friday, and looks in good nick with no reaction, he will be considered."
