Clough targets Croft arrival

Derby County boss Nigel Clough hopes to persuade Norwich City winger Lee Croft to make the move to Pride Park this summer.

The 23-year-old is out of contract with the Canaries and is expected to leave Carrow Road following the club's relegation to League One.

Clough told the Evening Telegraph: "Lee's on a free transfer in June.

"He's a proven outside right and it's a position we're looking to fill, so we'll be holding talks with him and his representatives to see if we can get a deal.

"I think he puts crosses in and when we've got the likes of Rob Hulse and Chris Porter in the penalty area, then they need some service."

Croft joined Norwich from Manchester City in the summer of 2006 and has since scored nine goals in 131 appearances.
